I’m a passionate and holistic Birth & Postpartum Doula dedicated to serving Denver, CO, and surrounding areas. As an advocate for reproductive justice, I believe everyone deserves body autonomy and the right to make informed choices about their birth and baby.

After experiencing a somewhat traumatic birth myself, I know firsthand how important it is to feel supported, heard, and empowered during this transformative time. Becoming a mother only deepened my passion for birth work, fueling my commitment to helping others navigate pregnancy, birth, and postpartum with confidence and care.

Your journey matters—let me be your guide. You and your baby deserve nothing less!

In the United States Black women are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women (CDC, 2022). This disparity persists regardless of income, education, or health status, highlighting systemic racism and bias in medical care.

How Doulas Help Lower This Statistic:
Doulas provide continuous emotional, physical, and informational support, which has been shown to improve birth outcomes. Studies indicate that doula-supported births result in:

  • Lower C-section rates (which are higher for Black women and come with more risks)

  • Reduced preterm birth rates (preterm birth is a leading cause of infant mortality)

  • Fewer birth complications (by ensuring informed decision-making and advocating for the birthing person's needs)

  • Improved patient-provider communication (helping birthing individuals feel heard and respected in medical settings)

“Birth is an opportunity to transcend. To rise above what we are accustomed to, reach deeper inside ourselves than we are familiar with, and to see not only what we are truly made of, but the strength we can access in and through birth.”

— Marcie Macari

I cannot recommend Justina enough! She is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and kind. She provided resources to me that I didn't know I needed during labor and postpartum that were game-changers. She helped advocate for me in complex medical situations and encouraged my own intuition and sense of agency. She supported my whole family - husband, daughter and son - in this journey. She guided me to information that helped me feel prepared and in control. If you are on the fence about hiring a doula for your pregnancy/labor/postpartum journey, hire Justina! She was a huge factor in my birth being an extremely empowering experience. I could not be more grateful to have found her.”

“Hiring a birth and postpartum doula was the best decision I could have ever made in my pregnancy journey as a first time mom. Scratch that — hiring Justina was the best decision.

Both my husband and I felt much more informed and at ease approaching labor thanks to Justina (which meant a lot given how nervous I was starting out).

Our birth lasted over 24 hours and she was always there by our side, all while being pregnant herself!

What most pleasantly surprised me was how healing her postpartum package was — I used the hours to light at home massages and belly binding (it was the perfect “me” time each week during a hard period of recovery).

We would hire Justina again in a heartbeat.”

“Our experience with Justina as a Postpartum Doula was nothing short of amazing! She was sensitive to my needs and feelings as a first time mother as well as the fact that we had no experience working with a doula. Her patience and extensive knowledge in the areas we needed most are just a few reasons why we will be recommending her services to everyone we know! Outside of her personal expertise, she has multiple connections in the community that we will continue to use long past our postpartum journey. We loved having her energy in our home. Her natural and wholistic approach completely aligned with our lifestyle and goals for caring for our girls. Our only regret is not connecting with her sooner. We will absolutely be looking to Justina and Just Birth LLC for pregnancy and birth services through our future pregnancy journeys.”

“Having a Doula as a first time mom, first pregnancy ever was the best decision I made for myself. But, hiring Justina was more than what I could ever imagine in a doula. She literally became my birth bestie. The knowledge and support she gave me throughout my pregnancy and the preparation for my birth was more than what her services are actually worth.
She’s amazing! She helped me even in my postpartum days where I really needed someone to talk to and just connect with.
She made me feel confident and comfortable with all the decisions I made at the hospital and with my medical providers. She was the best support I could’ve had throughout the entire process and I can’t imagine what things would’ve been like if she wasn’t my doula.”
